Home Learning

Our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) was the crux of our online learning programme during the pandemic from Reception to Year 8. We continue to maintain and build on this digital learning relationship.

We have an excellent range of online resources for pupils to use in class and at home. Every resource we have selected supports our learning ethos and compliments the curriculum. Pupils and parents can access these areas by term, year group and subject by logging into the VLE here or via the Parent Portal.

Prep (Homework)

During term time children have a busy school day and they need free time to relax, so we keep homework to a minimum. In the Early Years in Reception optional learning at home might include sending a reading book and some letter sounds or words to learn. In the Lower School Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 have regular reading options, weekly spelling lists and times tables practice. In the Upper School in Years 5 and 6 there may be work to complete that was started during the school day along with reading and spelling activities. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 are set homework to complete each evening.

The virtual learning platform is amazing and very helpful for both parents and pupils.
