Community Engagement

We cannot shut our eyes to the many and varied needs within Kenya, and we realise how important it is to equip our children with the skills and vision required to make a difference and be a positive part of their local community.

Our support of a range of local charities each year which focus on the needs of people, wildlife and our local environment, allows our pupils to experience the feeling of playing their part to support those around them.

Charity days, House events and fund-raising opportunities are a treasured part of our termly calendar and bring the school together with a unified goal. Pupils, parents and teachers all help to suggest ideas for the charities to be supported over an academic year and these have recently included The Olooluwa Forest Sanctuary, IAfrika, Bluebell’s School Watamu, Ghetto Classics and our ongoing links with a community project in one of the most impoverished areas of Nairobi, Kibera Mpira Mtaani (KIMMTA). Visits to these charities and talks from their representatives ensure that the children see first-hand the difference that they are making.
