Week 1 Newsletter

"After a long holiday both staff and pupils have certainly "hit the ground running‟. It was good to see parents at the Year 5 and new Senior Parents‟ Tea/Forum on our first day and to outline the expectations of Year 5 and the Senior School. Year 5 have been out on an overnight bonding trip to Olepolos and this Sunday Year 8 depart to begin their climb of Mount Kenya. I take this opportunity to wish them all the very best. Today Twiga enjoyed their Cockhouse Party and I look forward to welcoming Year 1 and 2 parents to the New Parents‟ Tea."

"This week the whole school has been focusing on "Respect." Assemblies and fun activities have marked the week and a new "Anti-Bullying Charter" has been signed by all the children from Year 1 to 8. New bookmarks remind the pupils who they can turn to if ever they are worried or unhappy and the week has served as a reminder about being considerate and thoughtful to those around us."

"I am delighted to see that all of the Year 8’s survived their Pre-mock Common Entrance examinations. I am even more encouraged by the fact that a majority of them emerged from the examination room smiling! This experience and preparation before June 2016 is invaluable and helps to ensure that pupils enter their final examinations in a relaxed and confident manner."

It was very hot but everyone still did amazingly, I am very happy with the younger year groups for doing so well and especially because they are the future Banda athletes. I want to thank everybody who participated whether you won a medal or not. You helped the team greatly, as overall The Banda came 4th."
