"After a very successful Under 13 6-a-side Cricket Tournament being held here at The Banda, we had a mouth watering start to the week, with an unbelievable number of children having baked the most delicious cakes. The House competition was a great success. With the results so far being very close indeed, I look forward to seeing the creations prepared by our Masterchef teams on Monday..."

Week 7 Newsletter
"As we close for half term, I have been reflecting upon these last 7 weeks. An enormous amount has been achieved during this time and pupils continue to work hard and go about their daily commitments with real enthusiasm. There are an increased number of activities available after school. Orchestras and choirs have additional practices after school, there are Art Scholarship classes and extra swimming, cricket and running sessions that take place before and after school, and then continue to attract large numbers. I am delighted to see so many children involved in learning an instrument and the new boys’ “Deep Treble” choir has been a fabulous addition to music at The Banda. The launching of the new Co-Curricular Programme, as well as the Enrichment Programme, have inspired individuals to try something new and the results so far have been outstanding..."

Week 5 Newsletter
"It has been lovely to be back in school this week after a thoroughly enjoyable Heads‟ Conference in UK. Having the opportunity to meet other Head Teachers from the UK and around the world, as well as listening to inspirational speakers, was hugely beneficial. I was reassured and felt proud of the progress we have made here at The Banda in recent years. There is little doubt we are moving positively forward and are well abreast of some of the outstanding educational practice that was referred to at the Conference. The use of iPads, our new Co-Curricular Programme and this week's launching of Enrichment Tasks are amongst some of the exciting developments taking place here at The Banda..."

Week 4 Newsletter
This week we welcomed Paula, Ethan and Madiba as flexi boarders, which was great. They settled in quickly and had a good time. On Tuesday we practised our artistic skills with Mr Ammora in the afternoon and in the evening he turned us all into cellotape monsters - which resulted in lots of laughs. On Wednesday we had great fun playing lots of different games with water balloons - luckily it was a hot day. The highlight for Mr Swift was beating Rory at table tennis.
