WE TAKE PRIDE IN THE CARE AND SUPPORT THAT CHILDREN NEED TO BUILD THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND THEIR CONFIDENCE AT THE END OF KEY STAGE ONE.
Year 2 is the final year in Key Stage One for our pupils. We continue to nurture our pupils to become active members of our preparatory school and our teaching and learning principles consolidate their learning experience.
Our classrooms are equipped with interactive SMART boards, allowing the children the opportunity to use and explore technology in the classroom, keeping up with the ever-changing trends in education whilst gaining valuable skills. E-learning is used alongside traditional methods of teaching, ensuring that lessons still contain a very personal element, forging strong bonds between the teachers and their pupils.
As children develop at their own pace our dedicated Learning Support department works either in class or by withdrawal on a one to one basis with any children requiring support to maximize their learning potential. Class teachers are responsible for each pupil’s pastoral welfare and most subjects. Specialised subject teachers teach and develop key skills in Computing, Music, French, Kiswahili, Physical Education and Games.
