Life After Preparatory School | The Banda School

THE BANDA AS A PREPARATORY SCHOOL PRIDES ITSELF ON PREPARING PUPILS WELL FOR ENTRY TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS AT 13+. A STRONG RELATIONSHIP EXISTS BETWEEN THE BANDA AND THE TOP INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS IN THE UK, SOUTH AFRICA, KENYA AND OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THEY ARE PART OF THE BRITISH EDUCATION SYSTEM.

One of the School’s aims: ‘To encourage an ambition to excel – in grades and all other areas of school life’ is evident in the outstanding results achieved at Common Entrance and scholarship level. Amongst the outgoing Year 8 children leaving The Banda in July 2017, 20 scholarships have been attained to schools within Kenya and the UK. Scholarships were awarded to Banda pupils by the following schools in 2017:

There is no doubt that The Banda ensures all-round quality education and in the words of Nicholas Allen, a former IAPS Chairman:  “Pupils leave The Banda academically prepared for secondary school and also equipped with a range of skills and attitudes that will serve them well throughout their lives and leaders in whatever future field of endeavour they seek."
