Wanted: Pupils who substitute ‘b’ and ‘d’; cannot retain number bonds to ten or times tables; confuse ‘was’; and ‘saw’ and ‘on’ and ‘no’; have come from a different schooling system; speak English as an additional language; write digits and numbers in reverse; like to fidget; are underachieving; need to run to the hedge and back before they can focus; benefit from a multisensory approach. The Post: We will support you either individually or as a pair, in a bubble group or in- class whether you need support with your reading and writing (Specific Learning Difficulties), motor skills (Dyspraxia), mathematics (Dyscalculia), handwriting (Dysgraphia), attention (ADD/ADHD), English as an Additional Language (EAL), Talented and Gifted (TAG) or a co-morbid mixture in which case you are very lucky to be twice exceptional!
At The Banda School we believe in giving our children "wings to fly" so that they can achieve to the best of their ability. Two fully equipped sections located in the heart of both the Lower and Upper school allows the Learning Support team to identify and empower young learners to fully access the curriculum.
Our support team consisting of five full time teachers and one part time qualified teacher offering a range of experience in Special Educational Needs. As long as you can access (to a greater degree) our school curriculum independently we can provide you with the additional support to maximize your potential.
