“Welcome to The Banda. Whilst our website may give you a taste of all that is on offer, I would urge you to come and visit the School, as it is only then that you will gain a true insight into the warmth, confidence and friendliness that radiates from within every area of our outstanding school.
I continue to be honoured to lead such an established British curriculum preparatory school in this, our 51st year. Whilst a Head will always speak highly of their school, I continue to be amazed by the commitment and loyalty of our community, from past Alumni to present day pupils, staff and parents, all of whom are actively involved and contribute to a very vibrant community spirit.
From our high academic standards and continued sporting excellence to our extensive array of co and extra curricular programmes, our dedicated and progressive teaching staff remain keen to draw the very best from all of the boys and girls in it’s care. This included our outgoing Year 8s of 2016-17 being awarded an impressive twenty scholarships to their nominated Secondary Schools. A wonderful accolade from the Chairman of the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools (2012-13) Nicholas M. Allen best sums us up:
“At The Banda, a tremendous rapport exists between teachers and pupils based on mutual respect and affection. This allows learning to flourish in an atmosphere of open curiosity. Pupils have time to be children. Academic study is balanced with a wide range of other opportunities allowing all pupils to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Pupils leave The Banda academically prepared for secondary school and also equipped with a range of skills and attitudes that will serve them well throughout their lives.”
A warm welcome awaits you and whilst I am sure you will enjoy perusing our website, please do come and visit us. We will be happy to welcome you to The Banda School.
